Making life more affordable for Canadians
Ottawa West-Nepean is at the forefront of Canada’s housing crisis.
Homes are out of reach for most Canadians. Rents have skyrocketed. Families face eviction and homelessness. The pressure of housing costs combined with inflation has impacted everyone. Foodbanks struggle to keep pace with demand. Building new homes faster is necessary, but the longstanding neighbourhoods of Ottawa West-Nepean also need help to preserve the homes we already have.
Ryan Telford supports Conservative policies that work with provincial and municipal partners to invest in effective densification and updating aged municipal infrastructure, while preserving the heritage, natural spaces and diverse character of our existing community. He supports newly announced Conservative policies to eliminate the GST on homes under $1 million, which will means thousands of dollars in cost savings for Canadian families. Ryan also supports immigration policies that will ensure all Canadians, new and old, have equal opportunity to own a home.
