Meet Ryan Telford

Ryan Telford has worked with the Government of Canada and in Conservative politics for over twenty years.

Ryan grew up in a rural farming community near Peterborough, Ontario. His family instilled in him a sense of public service and hard work at a young age.

A longstanding member of Canada’s national security community, Ryan is a strong voice for the defence of Canadian interests at home and around the world. He has held positions in five Government departments with responsibilities for strategic issues, national defence, federal policing and national security. He is a co-author of Canada's Counterterrorism Strategy. Over his career, he has worked with various Canadian partners and allies around the world.

Ryan has been involved in Conservative politics since 2001. He is a former advisor to the Rt. Hon. Joe Clark and has held positions in the Office of the Question Period Coordinator and the Office of the Whip. Ryan is also a Conservative Nomination Candidate of Record.

Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Toronto and completed his undergraduate studies at Trent University. He is a former Ontario Graduate Scholar and University of Toronto Fellowship recipient. He is a proud father of his daughter Safa.
