The past week saw Ryan canvassing in three neighbourhoods.
Whitehaven, Lakeview and Glabar Park
While out canvassing for the Conservative nomination in Ottawa West-Nepean, Ryan visited residents living in Glabar Park, Whitehaven and Lakeview Park.
Residents raised a number of issues with Ryan, including concerns related to the recent 2024 Budget, the foreign interference inquiry and the defence policy statement. Top issues raised by residents in these neighbourhoods included the environment, affordability, housing and quality leadership. Challenges facing our healthcare system were often mentioned.
Plus, something astounding happened: one individual declared that they knew and supported the current Member of Parliament. Given that Ryan has spoken to thousands of Ottawa West-Nepean residents campaigning door-to-door over the past eight months, it came as a shock to the canvassing team since it had never happened before!
